Kudus Sparks Excitement Ahead of Black Stars Camp in Wales

Black Stars midfielder Mohammed Kudus has already generated excitement among Ghanaian fans ahead of the national team’s pre-World Cup friendly against Wales after being spotted at Tottenham Hotspur F.C.’s final game of the season.

Kudus’ appearance has fueled speculation about his growing links with Spurs while also raising anticipation over his expected arrival in the Black Stars camp in Wales.

Meanwhile, nine players have already reported to camp ahead of the June 2 clash in Cardiff. Early arrivals include captain Jordan Ayew, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, Gideon Mensah, Jerome Opoku, Marvin Senaya and Alidu Seidu, who were seen in videos circulating on social media.

With most European leagues now concluded, more players are expected to join camp in the coming days as Ghana intensifies preparations for the upcoming World Cup challenge.

The Ghana Football Association is yet to officially announce the squad for the Wales friendly and the 2026 FIFA World Cup. FA President Kurt Okraku has confirmed that the final squad list will be released on June 1.

Ghana heads into the friendly looking to end a difficult five-match losing streak following a 2-0 defeat to Mexico national football team in their last outing.

Head coach Carlos Queiroz has maintained that only “deserving players” will earn places in Ghana’s squad for the expanded 48-team World Cup tournament.

The Black Stars have been drawn in Group L alongside England national football team, Croatia national football team and Panama national football team as they target a first World Cup knockout-stage qualification since the 2010 tournament in South Africa.
